Security

Security in a building at risk may rest on a strong emergency plan and correct knowledge of the area by the first response team; firefighters, police, SWAT. When dealing with an armed gunman, hostage situation or fire, information on the area improves the response time, heightens the degree of alertness and helps insure better security for occupants and vested parties.

However, information on a building at risk is not always accessible to the first response team. This would require updated plans, frequent visits on the premises, photos, general information on internal systems, etc.

Immersive visits offer firefighters and police a simple solution for exploring the inside and outside of a building at risk without the need to physically go on location.

Portability; immersive environments can be installed and used directly on the response team’s mobile computer;

Fast; immersive environments can be used during an intervention in order to support and exchange information in real time with the team at work;

Compatibility; immersive environments are geocoded and are therefore compatible with other systems (GIS, CAD, Inertial Displacement System, etc.)

Affordable; immersive environments do not require any special hardware or software to work. They are also very inexpensive to produce;

Productive; immersive environments can be used to generate up to date 2D and 3D plans;

Evolutive; immersive environments can be documented by different parties and regularly updated with new images taken by the building’s management;

Media quality; the quality of an immersive environment also makes it a great media to promote the building;

Intelligent; immersive environments can point out the quickest way towards a specific location, answer a positionning request, and more !
